I have always enjoyed comic books and am always thrilled when two of my passions come together in one product. Sure, some of the games that result may not be anything to write home about, but I do enjoy several of them. I originally started out with X-Men: Children of the Atom and then picked up X-Men vs. Street Fighter. The latest addition, Marvel Super Heroes, died recently from a dead suicide battery. Fortunately, a friend is going to help me burn new roms to ressurect the board.
I realize that CPS2 games are cart-based, but the location of the cabinet in the garage makes it difficult to access to change out games. I plan to take the same approach as with the Multi Fighter and install a switch to change between the different games.
The cabinet that these games are located in is presently without a monitor. I acquired a known-good chassis that was mounted on a bad tube and had two tubes in storage. After prepping to move the chassis over to a good tube, I discovered my tube had a broken neck. Hopefully the other tube in storage is still good, otherwise I'm going to have to track down yet another 25" tube for this machine. I despise monitors when they don't cooperate.
